The Shamrock Irish Pub was established and opened in February 2005. The pub, with it’s cosy interior, quality Irish and Germany beers and friendly staff has the traditional feel of a typical pub in Ireland.

Owned and run by the Kennedy family, Brendan has followed in his grandmother’s footsteps who owned Whealan’s Pub in the famous Athenry, Co. Galway. After meeting his wife Grainne while working in Hannover the pair set about bringing a little piece of Ireland to Nordhessen. After visiting lots of towns in Hessen they decided on the wonderful town of Kassel.
